Public Attitudes to Ukraine Conflict by Vaccine Acceptance

[Ottawa – March 18, 2022] This survey was conducted using EKOS’ unique, hybrid online/telephone research panel, Probit. Our panel offers exhaustive coverage of the Canadian population (i.e., Internet, phone, cell phone), random recruitment (in other words, participants are recruited randomly, they do not opt themselves into our panel), and equal probability sampling. All respondents to our panel are recruited by telephone using random digit dialling and are confirmed by live interviewers. Unlike opt-in online panels, Probit supports margin of error estimates.

The field dates for this survey are March 9-13, 2022. In total, a random sample of 1,035 Canadians aged 18 and over responded to the survey. The margin of error associated with the total sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

Please note that the margin of error increases when the results are sub-divided (i.e., error margins for sub-groups such as region, sex, age, education). All the data have been statistically weighted by age, gender, and region to ensure the sample’s composition reflects that of the actual population of Canada according to Census data.

So people with three+ doses are more likely to believe anything printing in MSM? Get your vax, hate Russia, support endless immigration, enjoy low wages, own nothing and be happy

  • Bartley Sawatsky

The whole fact that EKOS even thought to make this connection is fishy. I’d be very interested in knowing how they chose these 1,035 respondents. I’m doubtful the process was completely “random”. Anyone doing their research knows that Frank Graves has been very open about his political leanings.

I would be interested to know what the motivation for this survey.
    Who sponsored it?

  • Fix your links

Your links to download copies of data tables and questionnaires do not work.

Totally skewed phoney poll . F— up Frank should be charged with politicizing Covid and the vaxine. Just call a certain area where there are %99 of the people vaxinated .Horse shit EKOS not suprising. I expect the %52 that said none of the above wanted nothing to do with your leftist garbage poll .

  • Empirical evidence for the “I support the current thing” NPC meme.

Links are broken for questionaire and data tables. Shouldnt that be checked before publishing? Not all of us are lazy journalists looking for an easy headline

  • Mark Stobbe

Hi – when I attempt to get the copy of the data tables and questionaire for this survey, I get told the page is not working. Will this stuff be posted?

    Thanks

  • Your links don’t work. Fix your links.

  • Fony

The clear proof that all the vaccinated zombies are fucking asleep.

  • Emilio

Well done, this is the most useless survey in the history of survey

    • I disagree. I think it is quite useful, regardless of the motivation behind it. it is a perfect illustration of the impossibility of rational discourse. Both sides see the other as somehow inferior. The antivaxxer, antiwar are seen as antisocial, uncaring and immoral brutes, while they, in turn, see the other side as brainwashed sheep.

What proportion of 3-vac, 2-vac, and refusers screened participated in the survey?
What are the absolute numbers of 3-vac, 2-vac and refuser responders?
What are the education levels for the 3 groups?
What are the ethnic heritage characteristics of the 3 groups by generation of Canadian citizenship?
What is the benchmark for the responses? What is the “correct” answer or truth? Who is the arbiter of truth? What are their sources of funding or other potential sources of conflict of interest?
What are the sources of funding for this work?
What are the sources of funding for the investigative leads for this work?

  • These data are breathtaking. Thank you so much. Can someone rationalize this? It must be the russian spies in Canada who are refusing vaccines (!)

  • Matous Laznovsky

    Hello,
the links to dataset and questionnaire don’t seem to work for me. Is that just my problem?

  • leo

who are “vaccine refusers”? what percentage of unvaccinated are “vaccine refusers”?

  • Alex S.

Common link: Could it be that these same people that didn’t want to turn our lives upside-down because of the virus and don’t want to take a rushed vaccine also don’t want to stumble into WORLD WAR THREE?

    • GC

could it be the same people that fell for the media bullshit and believed a bacteria covered rag and an experimental MRNA shot could save them from a 99.7% survival rate disease are the same people falling for yet another blitz of media propaganda.

Half of those people are still to this day wearing masks to help protect pregnant Ukrainian men from climate change…

    • Bruce

More likely they simply lack empathy and only care about themselves..

    • Zed Mankins

You cannot logically arrive at World War 3 by having a negative opinion or indifference towards Russia’s justifications based on the Donbas conflict. Or on humanitarian aid for that matter. It just does not follow. To put this in your language, LOGIC JUST DOESN’T WORK THAT WAY ALEX PLEASE READ A BOOK. Thanks.

  • Eugene Nizker

Could it be that the same people who didn’t understand the danger of the virus also don’t understand that they bring World War Three closer by encouraging the aggression with our weak response?

Could it be that these are the same people whose history knowledge is rather weak? Otherwise they would know the consequences of Chamberlain’s actions in 1938?

  • GC

This study did find something out, they are just misinterpreting the data wrong. The conclusion should be that the same amount of people who fell for the media/big pharma bullshit regarding vaccines are falling for the exact same media/big business war machine that is once again duping them.

This conclusion is not a surprise. I would assume the same people who believed a silly bacteria covered piece of cloth over your face and an experimental MRNA vaccine would save them from a disease with a 99.7% survival rate are the same group of people believing whatever the garbage media are spoon feeding them about Ukraine.

For heavens sake half of those people think men can get pregnat…

  • hedley

Why is there no consideration of willing vaccinated vs. coerced?

That that was not evidently considered I must conclude that the whole study and its conclusions is no worthy of consideration..

  • Michel Savage

Despite the uncertainties linked to this survey, I agree that paranoid suspicion in regards to vaccines may also express itself with respect to Western-published news. An ex-friend of mine believes that Putin is right, and that all news in the West are anti-Putin anti-Russian propaganda. She`s also against vaccines. So, the somewhat unscientific link exposed here is real: in a tsunami of false news, many people have become paranoid, about vaccines, about Putin, about our governments, about police, about journalists. Thank you Tonald Dump, the very leader of lies.

  • Desi Canada

10-15% of teh population, about half of teh conservative base, belong to an extreme right-wing isolationist selfish entitled group. No wonder the same ones who refused vaccintions are the ones cheering on Putin (anotehr survivalist zombie). The fact that so many of these folks got triggered enough to comment here tells us something.
